Framework - Neutral Development Strategies

When you consider the objectives set out in ' Rethinking Construction' and what has been achieved in the time since the report, I wonder that we under achieve because we are fascinated with the technology and lose sight of the communication, this being the very key to effective design and construction.
With BIM we have become so focused on the database information for building management we are losing sight of the seamless transfer of design information from construction to built form. We are creating an ambulance at the bottom of the cliff.
It is critical to focus our effort on design, model building performance, environmental impact and relationship to our changing climate. This is how technology should work to provide a platform for better decision making in our urban development.
Forming part of my MSc IEM Integrated Environmental Management dissertation research, the purpose of this survey is to collect data regarding virtual modelling of urban development to analyse risk associated with climate change. Questions in the survey discuss the creation of 'Development Analysis Risk Transfer' (DART)models.
The DART is principally a predictive tool to assess and manage climate change performance of proposed developments within at regional and national level.
