Atlas awarded BIM Level 2 Certification by BRE

Posted by

Well known as an industry leader in BIM technology, documentation and project delivery services, Atlas is one of the first overseas companies, and one of under 50 companies globally, to achieve a BIM level 2 Business Certification by the BRE.

As a multi-disciplinary delivery partner to many architectural, engineering practices and construction companies, Atlas has been engaged in the execution of BIM projects since 2002, collaborating with clients in 10 countries.

Joe Woolf, Atlas Founder and CEO said, “We are honoured and privileged to have received this accreditation from BRE, and it reinforces our standing as a valued BIM leader, both in the UK and globally.”

BRE BIM Level 2 Certification assesses the business’s capability to utilize advanced BIM authoring tools and have the standards, methods, procedures, skilled staff and infrastructure in place for strict compliance with the UK Government’s strategy. This demonstrates that Atlas has met the requirements of PAS 1192-2:2013 and section 4.2 table 8 of the PAS 91:2013. It is expected that PAS1192 will be applying for ISO accreditation.

Steve Read, Atlas BIM Director who worked closely with BRE, said “Achieving BRE BIM Level 2 Certification is a significant milestone for Atlas and provides assurance to our customers on the compliance and quality of our services.”

This certification has many benefits for Atlas’s clients including speeding up the tendering process, and removes the requirement to carry out a capability assessment which in turn will save client’s time and money.
