Level of Development (LOD)
In the BIM concept, the model is built in a virtual space, shared among several professionals, and is developed through graphical and non-graphical information, linked with precision and clearly structured.
When initiating projects in the BIM methodology, it is necessary to identify the objective for the model, as this will define the level of definition of the data that will feed them. These levels differ by the amount of data that will be available at each stage of the project. And it is very important that everyone involved is aware of this need, because these levels will define the final product. It is from this information that a detailed and well-resolved project will be obtained between all disciplines, in addition to which this information will be used for analysis of the model even with respect to planning, budget and maintenance of the construction.
