Find out at GEO Business 2016!
With a strong focus on BIM, the GEO Business show will debate how BIM will transform the geospatial industry in the next few years. Incorporating an international exhibition, cutting edge conference, commercial workshop sessions, associated meetings and various social events, there is something for everyone.
Keep up to date with an associated meeting held by Survey4BIM: Geo-enabling BIM - Call for Action: Over the next five years, building information modelling (BIM) will drive not just transformation of the built environment, but also the geospatial industry itself. Its successful implementation is dependent on collaboration across all participants. The survey profession needs to be at the forefront of geo-enabling BIM. Come along and have your say: Tuesday 24 May and Wednesday 25 May, 13:15 – 12:45
Hear from Gary Gale, Chief Technology Officer, What3Words at the conference, addressing the challenge of accuracy and source of location of data. Presenting What3Words location reference solution which uses 3 words to uniquely identify any 3x3 metre square on the planet and look at its application to BIM. Gary Gale will be presenting this paper on Tuesday 24 May, followed by a panel debate addressing Emerging technology and applications – how to maximise the societal benefits of what we do by Gary Gale from What3Words, Ed Parsons, Geospatial Technologist at Google and Prof Gianvito Lanzolla, Head of the Faculty of Management & Professor of Strategic Leadership at Cass Business School.
The exhibition, workshops, associated meetings and several social events (welcome drinks and brand new ale trail) are all free to attend but visitors are encouraged to register online here.
