How about taking a step back and visualize levels of BIM Adoption in a more simplified manner.
Taking 2 Main aspects of adoption - Information & Communication
Level 0 - Traditional 2D across the project life-cycle
Level 1 - 3D for internal communication ( partial BIM )
Level 2 - 3D for external communication ( collaborative BIM )
Level 3 - 3D as a central database for everybody ( integrated BIM )
This makes one think
- Is it possible to categorize an organization to be fully at Level 3 ?
- Should adoption levels be project specific depending on the various parties and skills set involved ?
- Should BIM adoption be perceived as a never ending learning process getting better with every new project ?
