GRAITEC Launch Steel Structure Designer as Part of its Advance BIM Designers Suite

The GRAITEC Advance BIM Designers Suite comprises a collection of dedicated industry apps that optimize complete design workflows saving considerable time in the design process.

The Steel Structure Designer delivers a new level of productivity for engineers and designers enabling creation of complete steel structures in a fraction of the time taken previously. As part of the Structural Collection in the Advance BIM Designers Suite, the Steel Structure Designer for Autodesk® Advance Steel allows the user to quickly configure complete steel structures of all shapes and sizes in a single interface. With options to add and tune bracing, side rails, purlins and even add floors and platforms as well as define roof styles, this app enables a wide variety of building types from multi-span, multi-bay portal frames to multi-story industrial platforms.

Making short work of any size project in Autodesk® Advance Steel, the Steel Structure Designer comes with an extensive range of functionalities including, but not limited to:

-       Define building shapes and types
-       Just one click to add floors, bays, levels
-       Configure roof types, offsets, gable ends, bracings platforms
-       Easily amend section sizes
-       Quickly copy elements to other regions

Carl Spalding, Group Product Strategy Director for GRAITEC comments: “The Steel Structure Designer is a very impressive and incredibly powerful app for creating all-in-one structures which will save a huge amount of time. Whether it is to be used for initial setting-out in order to get costings or to cycle through design options or progress the structure through to fabrication detail, the Steel Structure Designer delivers considerable clout. This is just the beginning, we are only just starting to scratch the surface - the power of this tool gives an idea of just what customers can expect from GRAITEC Advance BIM Designers, as these apps mature and more capability is added. Watch this space!”
