New BIM Components Now Live on AluK Website

January 23, 2015

Building Information Modelling (BIM) continues to grow in importance, especially as all Government-funded construction projects in the UK will need to comply with the requirements of level 2 BIM by 2016.

However, there has also been an increase in calls for BIM compliance from architects and contractors alike, showing that BIM is becoming well-established within private construction projects as well as the mandatory Government-funded projects.

AluK’s two new web pages host both BIMStore and National BIM Library components, which are free, quick, and easy to download. These components are CoBie compliant and available in Revit and IFC formats.

AluK’s BIM Coordination also offers the ability to produce bespoke project-specific details, in addition to the standard components currently hosted on our website.

These new components add to AluK’s current BIM offering, which includes a RIBA-Approved CPD, ‘BIM: Aluminium Façade Systems - Modelling, design, construction, standards and collaboration’. To book a CPD or find out more information please email [email protected].

All of our products have undergone extensive and rigorous testing procedures and hold accreditations including CWCT, BS4873, Secured By Design, PAS 24, LPS117:SR2, BBA, CE Marking, ISO9001:2000, and ISO14001:2004.

We are continuously developing and expanding our BIM components across our entire product range, to support you and your projects.
