ANN ARBOR, Mich., Dec 17, 2014 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Portal Architects, Inc., the creators of SkySync, are pleased to announce an Autodesk Developer Network Partnership that will enable Autodesk customers to integrate virtually any Cloud and/or on-site storage system with multiple Autodesk platforms.
Portal Architects, Inc. has already delivered its first Autodesk platform connector which enables SkySync to integrate closely with Autodesk’s BIM 360 Field.Additional connectors are in the works for Autodesk’s BIM 360 Glue, Vault and Buzzsaw platforms.
Joe Lombardi and his team at Shawmut Construction are using SkySync’s BIM 360 Field connector to fully synchronize their existing cloud storage system with Autodesk’s platform.
“What SkySync does is take one of the industry’s most powerful tools; Autodesk BIM 360, and provides the ability to distribute data faster and more efficiently,” Lombardi said. “The bottom line is SkySync makes BIM 360 even more valuable to an organization like Shawmut.” This same level of functionality will soon be extended to Autodesk’s BIM 360 Glue and Vault users as well.
Mark Brazeau, co-founder and CEO of Portal Architects, said, “Delivering BIM 360 Field integration is merely the first step of our growing relationship. In the near future, we will be developing additional connectors for Autodesk Glue® as well as Vault®, providing the Autodesk community the uncanny ability to bi-directionally sync or move files externally as well as across the Autodesk product family.”
“SkySync extends the reach of our BIM 360™ Platform. It helps satisfy a growing need for businesses to synchronize collaboration tools with their existing storage systems and increase their efficiency,” said Stacy Scopano, Senior Industry Manager of Building Construction at Autodesk. “We are excited to continue to work with Portal Architects to expand these capabilities to other Autodesk products.”
