The progression to Level 2 BIM has advanced significantly with the news that NBS will complete the final two aspects of the government’s Level 2 BIM package.
This includes a pan industry digital Plan of Work (dPoW), a free online digital toolset which will help collaborative teams define, manage and validate who is responsible for what at different stages of the asset lifecycle.
As the industry is only too aware, all public sector projects will require firms to use BIM by 2016.
With that in mind, Constrution News and 4Projects hosted a live webinar with expert panel to discuss the practical implications and challenges about Level 2 BIM.
CN’s consultant editor Denise Chevin was joined by Dr Stephen Hamil, head of BIM at NBS; Dale Sinclair, director of technical practice at AECOM; and Steve Spark, vice president business development at 4Projects by Viewpoint, to take you through these latest developments and what it means for you and your role.
Discussion areas include:
- Overview of dPoW and Classification
- The Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Project Team collaboration
